I am a second-year PhD student in Optical Sciences at the University of Arizona, working in the Multi-Scale Brain Imaging Lab and the Biomedical Optics and Optical Measurement Lab. I hold a BS in Physics from Universidad del Valle in Cali, Colombia. My research focuses on leveraging optical techniques, particularly Polarization-Sensitive Optical Coherence Tomography (PS-OCT), to validate microstructural information in the brain obtained through non-optical methods like MRI, and investigate how neurodegenerative disorders may alter this integrity.
