Courtney Comrie is a 5th year PhD candidate in the lab and previously received her B.S. in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Arizona. She is interested in using pre-clinical MRI for developing and translating methods capable of being sensitized to hallmark Alzheimer’s disease pathology and comorbidities. She has been investigating conventional and alternative diffusion and relaxometry methods for probing the microstructural environment in post-mortem human temporal lobe and brainstem specimens for early and accurate diagnosis of Alzheimer's disease.
